The last time I visited the cipotato germplasm ordering system there was a small banner (only when you log in) saying distribution of Andean roots and tubers and solanum phureja is temporarly banned...I hope it changed already, back to normal..

I garden mostly in heavy clay, but I have 1/2 of an acre of sandy soil added on top of it.

Mauka blanca, stems are green, leaves are unspotted, no red spots on them Mauka roja, stems are reddish, and the familiar red spots on the leaves are there as well, comparison between the three varieties: left: cipotato variety, in the middle mauka blanca, and on the right mauka roja
