Who has the best "wholesale" price for landscape fabric? Not the black plastic but the woven fabric. I will be using this around the balckberries and other similar applications where it will last a few years without reapplication. I am looking at enough for say an acre overall (several different applications).

I think there is a place in Ohio, BFG Greenhouse/Horticulture Supply, something like that. I got my last roll of fabric from Bunton's in Louisville, KY. Shipping is what will be so high for you if you can't find a wholesaler reasonably close to you. I don't remember what I paid for my roll, 6x100' maybe. My latest catalog from Growers Supply has Weed Guard 'Heavy duty ground cover, 30 mils thick, 12'x300' roll Each $365.95, 6 or more rolls $349.95. I have to say though, in my sales area I put the heavy duty stuff down, then mulch on top of it. It was supposed to stop weeds from growing through, it didn't, and I even have dandelions growing easily through it from blown in seeds. I don't know if you are planning to put any mulch on top of it, but be aware that seeds can grow very well on top of it if you do. Maybe keeping it just the cloth would be better. A whole acre would be mighty expensive, but if it worked to keep the weeds out I guess it would be worth it in the end. Don't know what your season has been like in Ohio, but in IN, the weeds are winning the ongoing battle. It really can get quite discouraging.

Did you ever try corn gluten in your mulch PS? It is a powerful antigerminative. It inhibits the capacity of the seeds to send out roots, so they die.
