My plan is to start my first round of container tomatoes ( dwarfs supplies by americangardner). I've got good flourescent lighting in the heated attached garage so once ther are ready to pot up they will start living in 5 gallon bucket earthboxes.
I'm excited.

Good luck with your dwarf maters Jim. I made a list Thursday night of things to grow this year. I've already modified it about 6 times, lol Might do some sowing tomorrow, although I keep telling myself that it's still a week or two too soon...

Thanks friends.
I'll keep everyone updated. I need to see something green. This winter has been brutal here.

Anyone north of the Mason Dixon Line will second that motion.

I've got 8 little numex pepper seedlings up. That makes me happy.

Jim, are you putting any of the LISP Patio in pots? I think I am going to put Silvery Fir tree in a pot or 2. The foliage will look nice too.

I'm putting my weird foliage tomato in containers which includes Silvery Fir Tree. It seems like all the weird foliage toms that I go are semi-determinate or determinate, interestingly enough!

I had planned on starting some seeds yesterday, however, the moons phases aren't favourable until tomorrow, the 24th through the 26th, so I've had a change of plans.
Jim, congrats on peppers germinating.

I'm definitly putting LISP maters in pots. The very mini ones will go into some of the formula cans and the normal sized LISP dwarfs will go several to a half 55 gallon drum.

Hint - paint the cans white and try and wire them where the least amount of sunlight will hit the can, to keep the roots as cool as possible. They can get really warm in summer and the tomatoes do not like hot feet.

I didn't realize the Silvery Fir Tree was such a short DTM when I got it. It was a pleasant surprise.
