Lav.... ::whispers:: I still don't get the sticky thing... I understand that its a connection between two threads... right? But, should I be able to click on the sticky symbol and move from one thread to the other? Is there some sort of additional data on one or the other?

Jo,
I'm guessing you aren't joking this time. If you are, sorry to not get it.
If you look at the left column of the forum, you'll see a yellow folder, the ones at the top have a red dot in the middle of the folder, this is suppose to look like a thumb tack. The ones with the red dot are 'sticky' meaning they stay at the top of the list even if no one posts to them. 'Live Chat' is at the top of the list for this forum, even though it was last posted to on March 6th (and it is at the top of all of the forums - kinda annoying to me, but to each their own). The next thread is Extra Seeds, again with a March 6th date.
The first non-sticky thread is 'wath i'm looking for ...now ;ò)' If you look in the far right column it shows the date, time, and the name of the most recent poster in that thread. If you look down this column you will see that the most recently posted to (of the non-sticky ones) is at the top, then the next and the one after that basically in descending order.
Sticky threads do not follow this descending order, but always stay at the top of the forum list in the order they were made sticky.
I should add the order of the non-sticky ones is as of right now. If someone posts to one of them after this, the order will change.
Clear as mud now?

ah HA! THANK you Pugs! NOW I understand! My problem was that I wasn't looking at the "subject" level. I was looking at the "home" page. It didn't occur to me to go to the subject page. ::laughing:: WHEW! I was feeling SO dumb!
Yea, I wasn't joking the whole time. I didn't get it at all and I knew I just wasn't asking the right question. Sometimes it's difficult to do that though.
Lav, Thank you so much for your help and I apologize for being sorta dim on this issue.

As I now think about it, I've had several questions about the folder symbols over the months... Is there a spot that defines the meanings of all the various symbols?
By the by, understanding the sticky thing and learning how the bookmarks feature works has really enhanced my "relationship" with the forum. Both features have met needs that I have had but didn't feel were important enough to bother anyone with. Thanks again!
