I was beginning to research the beans my friend gave me and I came across this site devoted to them. Apparently, they are touted as a good food for diabetics. www.tepary.com/I'm looking for info on whether they bush or run. Does anyone know?

In the Mother Earth News story, linked to in your link, it specifies that tepary beans are pole types.
My understanding had always been that they were short running types; that is, pole types similar to half-runners in growth habit.
The folks at Native Seeds/SEARCH have always been very cooperative fielding questions, and if you contact them I'm sure they'll help you with any questions.

I'd only read some of the health related articles at the time that I posted this.
Thanks for the advice and extra info on the beans.
