I'm reaching out to the forums here to see if anybody has any info on this tomato. I got it this year at Seedy Saturday, came home to do a bit of research and was only able to find one reference to it online, and it was in an old New York Post article (that only casually mentioned it) about heirloom tomatoes. Of course I'm growing it because I definitely can't say no to something new and as mysterious as this tomato seems to be, but if anybody has any experience or history of this tomato I'd love to be enlightened .

Good question. I've never heard of a pink Zebra. I do know that Tom Wagner developed the Green Zebra. You might want to go to his forum "Tater Mater" and post the question to him there, OR you could send him a PM on this forum. He's a pretty busy fellow so a PM might get to him a bit faster. Good luck! I'm interested in hearing more about this tomato as the season progresses!!!

Tom is probably pretty busy at this time of year, but you can try contacting him. Maybe it's a sport of Red Zebra?

Another thing I came across on the 'net was a a pic of a Red Boar that had been incorrectly labelled Red Zebra and then fixed. Could be incorrectly identified to begin with?

Thanks for all the thoughts you guys! The lady I got the seeds from did have Red Boar as well as Red Zebra, so I don't think they're mislabelled, I should have stayed and asked her more questions specifically about this one (I had gotten a couple of other varieties I'd never heard of and quizzed her one them), but time was running out and I had to book it. I hate to bug Tom this time of year, but I may end up doing it just to see if he has any info, maybe a bit later in the year when things might not be so crazy for him . Either way, I do love the process of discovery with a tomato that I can't get any info on. Last year I had the experience with 'German Cascade' and was hugely (and pleasantly) surprised with what I got!

Reviving an old thread! I'm still looking for what else this variety might be called, or if it is indeed its own variety. This time, I brought pictures! It did wonderfully well for me this year, with a dry, hot spring. Look familiar to anybody? They're absolutely delicious (a favourite in my household now), look gorgeous, and are very productive.

Looks like a green Zebra hybrid. I will have to keep look out for that one, looks great and if it is similar to a Green Zebra tastes great.

Tom Wagner is the creator of the Green Zebra and many of its offspring. He doesn't visit this forum much, but I would post this over at his Tater Mater Forum: tatermater.proboards.com/

Actually it looks a bit more like one of the Wild Boar Farms creations (though admittedly, a lot of those DO have GZ as a part parent as well) You might want to check with those guys too.
