I harvested a lot of melons today. I really mean a lot. So much so that we have postponed a trip in the St-Laurence estuary ( and all the whale watching) so I can take pictures and....freeze and process them. The car is FULL. And a lot of them are totally unknown by most here( which includes me ). I have a Fujifilm camera I just bought, with super-macro capabilities, But although I downloaded the Driver CD in the puter ( Vista home edition), nothing happens, even with the download of the ''problem solving patch'' from Fuji's site. I cannot download the darn things to the puter using Fuji's proprietary program. Is thereanother way? My other cameras were downloaded using the puter program, I could connect any camera and it would be easy. With the darn Fuji thing, I am in a bind.... Help from a geek is badly needed here. The people will be rewarded with a LOT of pictures of new melons ( to us) A few teasers: CARRAQUEIRO, from Spain, close to 10 pounds. Huge for Ontario, and VOATANGO, from Madagascar through Kokopelli, with five 6-7 pounds melons for one vine...and much much much more... HELP!!!

A few teasers: CARRAQUEIRO, from Spain, close to 10 pounds. Huge for Ontario Well, that certainly teases ME! I'm really sorry to hear about the issues between your computer and camera. That's one of the reasons I don't use Fuji. Is there any chance you can take it back to the seller and get another? I use a Nikon CoolPix. It's about 5 years old now and works like a charm. Nikon still produces the same CoolPix line these days but with higher resolution and stuff. They have one at Costco for about $150. Retaking all the pics would be a real pain in the rind... but... it might be the best solution?

A friend with a different operating system perhaps? A different Microsoft OS or a Mac perhaps? Or take it to a camera/photography shop and get them to put them all on a disk for you? Doesn't solve your problem but might give you access to the melon pics.

Funny Telsing....I was thinking of you ;D ;D I need help, there is only so much one can eat. We just bought a smoothie mixer, we are bying a small freezer, but even then so much is so much... By the way my gorgeous one, Loblaws are having a sale: the smoothie mixer is only 29$ and is is darn powerful. Like a heavy duty blender really. It will get many uses with the fall harvest... So Telsing, we will be around this weekend...you know the number

Any modern camera,if you hook it up to the puter,in 'my puter' or something like that there should show up a filesystem with 'fuji' in the name(in your case).Open it and there you are.You just don't need the f... proprietary driver. If fuji somehow is an exception to this, go back to your vendor and get your f... money back.

yes you post photos that are loaded on your computer. When making a post at the top of the page where it says Attachment there is a box and on the right of that box is a browse button click that. and then find your photo, then click on it then click on open then it will show in the attachment box and will show up in your post like so.
