A clean chicken coop = happy chickens and clean eggs. For years we purchased shavings for these coops. I am happy to have found a double use for the corn stalks, first as chicken bedding and second as compost. Of course, this takes a little more work, but I feel it is also a little more sustainable. So, I'm going to save some of this corn to boil with wild rice and sausage to stuff the Thanksgiving Turkey. That was a cool idea.
