This has nothing to do with gardening, but i wanted to share it. I just finished building my own DIY Taffy Pulling Machine, using some 1/4" metal, a few motors, some self designed gears (which really aren't needed if i decide to use the second motor), and an old soap bucket for the base chassis and style points. lol. I posted a quick post about it on my blog.
I haven't tried making taffy yet, since i just finished it, but i think it will work great.

lindz: i believe Acacia trees are the fastest growing trees, I am in Asia and need to produce sawdust. Therefore I need to start planting some fast growing trees and have to find which will be best for producing sawdust? I will buy the land in Asia somewhere

synergy: Yes try here and www.permies.com as there are lots of knowledgable people on both website forums. I imagine differing trees will have different properties and your selection might differ depending on what you want to use the sawdust for...
