Carl Hiaasen is also one of my faves. All of his books are terrific. I have the bible edition of Lamb now. The one bound in black pressed leather with gold leaf on the edges of the pages. I started down this road with Patrick McManus, then to the Robert Ludlum 'Road to' books and then to CH and CM. So sad, I used to read Faulkner and Joyce, but, no moore.

Carl Hiaasen is a wonderful author. I have read all his books and love them. Elmore Leonard is my all time favorite however. For some reason I can't seem to read Ludlum. Robert Parker is good also.

I love Elmore Leonard. He's fantastic too. It's hard to find a favorite, there are so many good ones out there. One common thread seems to be many of us love similar books/authors. Interesting to see what else people recommend.
