Breedig lines, and the mostacha was derived from LISP material. Will try to locate the seeds. If I remember well, they were not isolated. Note I am slow.

I have a pumpkin (Green) I bought back from Kenya in November which has moved house with me once and still seems to be going strong, so thats 7 months coming up, I dont think it will keep too much longer than that but it has just lived on the counter top so maybe under more controlled conditions it would last longer. Blergh, this pumpkin may have lasted outside but it did NOT last inside. Dry as a bone, thin flesh, inedible.

The best-tasting squash I have ever eaten is Sibley, a maxima.
They keep well, too. I don't grow them every year because I eat stored ones in the in-between years.
I'll be growing them this year, and I guess I should write the date on the skins so I'll know how old they are.

Well Sibley is one that is storing nicely on the windowsill at the moment, together with an Uchiki Kuri. Just started on another squash, which turned out to be a cross of some sort, keeping well but not outstandingly flavourful.
Looking forward to the last Sibley! Flesh never very thick, but so good! We have eaten our buttercups already, but most years they last well and their flavour stays good too.
