I am remiss.
The Old Year is dead; the New Year is born! Happy Winter Solstice to those of us in NorHem; may we all have a glorious Spring and a fruitful year!
To those of us in SoHem: may the Summer Solstice presage a bountiful and interesting harvest.
Happy Festivus, and remember, at the airing of grievances, resentment is the gift that keeps on giving.

Same to you, Steev. It'll be another 6 weeks before I feel like the days are days again, but it's always a relief when the tide turns.

Merry Christmas
It's the most wonderful time of the year (Most wonderful time) With the kids jingle-belling And everyone telling you Be of good cheer It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all With those holiday greetings And great happy meetings When friends come to call It's the hap-happiest season of all
There'll be parties for hosting Marshmallows for roasting And caroling out in the snow There'll be scary ghost stories And tales of the glories Of Christmases long, long ago
It's the most wonderful time of the year There be much mistletoe-ing And hearts will be glowing When loved ones are near It's the most wonderful time of the year, ooh ah
Woah, there'll be parties for hosting Marshmallows for roasting And caroling out in the snow There'll be scary ghost stories And tales of the glories Of Christmases long, long ago
It's the most wonderful time of the year There be much mistletoe-ing And hearts will be glowing When loved ones are near It's the most wonderful time of the year

Now, I never knew there were Antipodean Hells Angels.
Gosh, I learn something new everyday.

The original came from the Kevin Pappas Tear out Postcard Book, from the late 70's early 80's. Worth a google on flikr, tho I fear the humor might be a bit parochial. The original of 'The Second Coming' has some delightful detail that is lost in this poor resolution image - a laughing hells angel, the 3 wise merchants, the excitable TV anchor, the Star Cinema, and the 'angel-spotter' aircraft, a nice reference to the shark spotter 'planes that circled the suburban beaches when i was a kid. but this is my favourite - esp the boomerang motifs throughout, the licence plate, and the authentic shot up road sign - very clever. and I WANT that car... First boomerang I made didn't fly worth a tinker's damn 'til I realized I was throwing righty, but I'd made a lefty.

Classic!!...though a bit light on the discarded beer cans Too true! or should I say, too Troo. And Steev, There's a technical term for a boomerang that doesn't come back - down here we call it a stick. T
