Yes; blue eucalyptus; no offense, SoHem, but it is a pain here in NorCal; platform-rooted and tall, comes wet-and-windy weather, it blows down. Good firewood, but it takes twice as long as oak to dry, and burned un-seasoned, it craps up the flue immediately.

They were teasing us with possible showers on Thursday, but that's gone away; oh, well, we've gotten 7+ times what we had to-date last year. It's now sunny and clear, so cold, drying nights; hard for the citrus crops and possibly hard for the pickers and packers thereof.

Beautiful day here on the farm, 65 degrees and sunny skies. Great if it was March, but this is supposed to be winter! So I weeded.

We were trapped most of yesterday and today by flooded out bridges and mudslides. Of course, trapped is all a matter of perspective. If you don't want to go anywhere, no problem! Eight inches of rain in a day is a lot even for this rain forest. This is the top of the bridge just down the street. Normally there is at least 10 feet of clearance under the bridge!

billw hope your crops are OK! Stay safe. We've been trapped up to 5 days before. It's always fine until you run out of COFFEE!

Yes, billw ! Stay dry! That looks pretty impressive. I hope that's just a low point and there isn't much damage to your property. Since we've turned the calendar, I started a new thread for "How's Your Weather ... 2015" so we can keep track! :>) Happy New Year, everyone!
