Wow, I really hate that. Leo and I struck golf ball hail in the Sierras on 4th of July. (Note, there are no underpasses to hide under in the Sierra's). Really scarey. Hope you're okay and the truck recovers. I think that's Cello music, but I'm hard of hearing....all that dern mowing. What?

The stippled popcorn sprouted 100%! I'm stoked; that stuff has promise. It's very pretty, though a tad small for an air-popper, but I'm more of a "big pot" kind of guy, anyway.

I'm envious, I did not get my corn planted. It's ready, the field is not. We're frazzled with the heat of last week. I could hear the weeds grow. I pulled out one old bed and am ready to plant cukes.
I had a lot of interesting germ this year in corn.
I had 2 packs of the same corn, one was 99%, the other closer to 60%. Both marked with the same dates.
I put all the corn on 18" this year. I need to hoe and compost again. Whew! I don't know how you get everything done in just a weekend. How you coming with those clones? Send 2 please.

What makes you think I ever get everything done?

The Blushed Peruvian is mid-thigh high and somewhat lodge-prone (redundant?), so I hilled it up with old sheepoo; I think it's going to be some whopping big corn, suitable for planting in gullies to fight erosion.
The Mandan Lavender looks parched and puny; think I've over-extended the irrigation circuit it's on; time to re-jigger that.
