I've never had them more than 1 kg. Are the larger fruits on every plant of just one?

So I eaten one of the huge delica, it's a poor fibrous squash, without interest, not like sweet and delicious delicata. I think this plants were cross with a zucchini last year, I don't remembered of the single zucchni plant, because it not produce some fruits, and I forgot it.

If it's a cross, perhaps the next generation would be interesting.

It's something that I think, but this one need to sow many seeds and auto cross each one and keep the next seeds generation. In this garden I am true delicata, but probably cross with the cross (zucchini x delicata = F1), and I think the seeds of this back cross can give better taste and texture than the back cross seeds. What do you think ?

A back cross with delicata?. Yes, I think it would give you a better chance of finding something worthwhile more quickly.
