Here is what some of my Oaxacan x sweet corns look like. The little ear came from a plant that was planted I think on April 15. It was the Only Oaxacan plant that sprouted grew in that little patch. I don't know why it looks so different unless maybe it was already crossed but it came from organic seed from SSE and the seed did not look any different. Even though it grew it was too late for pollen from the early sweets planted with it. Another patch of early sweets planted about two weeks later provided pollen. It is (most likely) crossed with Spring Snow se, Early and Often se and Early Sunglow su. I have another ear of it still on the stalk The next ear was with the later planted patch and is (most likely) pollinated with Silver Choice, Silver King, Ruby Queen as well as maybe a little Astronomy Domine that was planted to fill in empty spots in the patch. If the AD is in there I think it would be toward the tip of the ear. That ear also for some reason was a little earlier than the other Oaxacan in that patch. Below is a stalk of the rest of the Oaxacan I haven't peeked into yet. I think it is mostly pollinated by Argent but everything mentioned above could be in there too and maybe a little AD and other su types. I hand pollinated it with Argent but I didn't bag the ears. I have six of these plants with two ears each. I Already discarded some other from this patch that had ears that grew out of the shucks as you can see the one above did. I don't want that trait. I don't really have much of clue what I'm doing but I'm having fun.
