*sigh* You guys should read some of his poetry! It is amazing...we find ourselves as a species wondering around haphazardly on this rock searching for the meaning of life...and all this time, its been right under our noses. A tiny seed...a pile of dirt...a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and love...and it emerges, from that pile of dirt...the meaning of life, the Light that exists in all things and radiates from the very core of the Mother, a connection with something that unites our past, present, and future...Right in our finger tips.

Since its winter....Howsa bout chili...or taco soup.
I'm not sure of the taco soup recipe, I'll have to get that from Alan's Mom...But my Chili (every chili is different...lol)is.
1-2lbs ground beef browned salt, pepper, chili powder to taste 1 medium onion diced (softened with the beef) Add a medium sized can of your choice chili and/or black bean Jar of your diced tomatoes (drained) a couple of your favorite chili's diced (seeds or no seeds is up to you, but also softened with beef) Boil your choice style/quantity noodles (don't forget to salt your cooking water) Once noodles are done, strain and add 1 large can V-8 juice, and 1 large can Red Gold tomato juice, and add beef mixture, tomatos, beans, etc. Bring to temperature and adjust chili powder, salt, pepper, and sugar seasonings to taste.
I'm not the best one for recipe's because I do everything by taste, lol. I'm a-feared of the measuring devices...lol!

houseodessey...Do you know how hard the task of kicking Alan ANY WHERE is? LOL. I shall do my best! LOL, translation: He's pretty fast for a fat kid!!! She only says that because one time her younger brother, who is into Karate, tried to "chuck norris" my ass and I caught his foot in the air and made an ass outta him. Something to that effect...yes.lol!

Just make sure she is a "she". That way come fall there won't be the heart break. She's an Easter Egger...Pretty easy to tell...No crest. That and all of our roosters out of that batch look EXACTLY alike..lol! Black and white speckles, and crests.

My question for Mr. Kapular is this... Tell us about your work in "Nutrion" based plant breeding. What are the particular traits that you look for and what amino acids do you look for most often in your work? (Alan, feel free to adjust this to sound more intellectual...etc) Welp...my goofy butt is a day late and a dollar short. Alan has already done the interview and posted it on the blog site. Oh well...I'm certain that I will have other opportunities to discuss food nutrition with Shroom.

So...since I hadn't been on since Oct. I thought I'd drop by and update everyone as to whats been going on in my life. I still work at that orange place..(woohoo...) and am still an expeditor. Which is hell on wheels, but it beats the heck out of being on the floor and working crazy hours.
In November our family experienced a tremendous scare when my cousin Matthew had a terrible accident at his job (he just turned 20, and has been working as tree trimmer since he got out of school). One of the guide wires broke when one of the guys was cutting a limb...limb landed on powerline, and broke the powerline, powerline landed on Matthews back. Matthew spent much of late November, and about 3 weeks of december in a medically induced coma. Badly burnt on his back, rear, and hip. He was fully conscious during the accident, was able to tell the medics his mothers full name and phone number, and that she was his mother. And now fully remembers the accident. He recently finished skin grafting (and 98% of them have taken well), He's now fully conscious and has been removed from the vent. He got to eat his first big mac a few weeks ago...and just in the last two weeks got to see his little sisters for the first time in about a month or so. He's healing well physically. Mentally...he's a strong kid, but still has bad days like all of us. SO in that period of time...I was babysitting his little sisters just about every weekend. Explaining some of my abscence.
Other than that...It's been more of the same. Working my butt off relentlessly. OH and I've started going back to the gym...Thus far I've lost about 3/4 of an inch...Which excites me. I don't really have a GOAL necessarily...I just want to be healthy. I don't mind being curvey...Women are SUPPOSED to be that way...I just don't want to be tired all the time.lol!
Anyhow...how is everyone?

Hey gang...I'm checkin' in. Alan told me that you guys were getting worried. So I thought I'd drop by while I had the opportunity. Its been CRAZY. Between work, the farm (even though we aren't terribly busy right now, there's always SOMETHING that needs to be done when I get home from work), taking care of my little cousins, goin' to Curves, etc. I'm hard pressed to find the opportunity to get on the computer because someone else is usually already on it.lol!
All is well...All is just really 'effin' busy.lol! For the first time since October Alan and I actually went OUT last night. Anyhow...I promise...I'll try to post more often... I've missed you guys!
