Tryin' to...LOL! Last night I helped him start like 11 flats of cabbage and broccoli, I think it made his night to watch me learn how to use the new seeder. I'd get goin' good...Get in a rhythm then drop one...And start cussing. And he'd just chuckle...lol!

I didn't get up early enough... Somebody beat me to it. lol!! Anyway, Happy Birthday Baby! I'm sorry I may not be able to come and see you. Bush road is pretty nasty. And you know my car is useless on ice. I can do well on snow....Ice and slush are scary. Thats one thing I do miss about Bloomington, They took really good care of their roads during winter weather...Could be an inch of ice and 8 inches of snow and if you could get out of your parking lot you could get where you needed to go. Anyhow. I love you Alan. Happy Birthday...

Thanks Blue!!! I'm sure that Alan's gift will be perfect. He always does a great job. Though I told him he didn't have to get me anything...He insists he must. *** I love you too Alan. Thank you!! *** Its funny I'm only 25 years old...But today, I feel like I'm about 80, I had to help my Dad and brother dig up a water line yesterday by hand...My ass muscles are killing me. I guess though, If my ass muscles hurt and my back muscles don't, I must have been doing something right.lol!
Thanks everyone, I love you all...And I wish you all were here to help me celebrate my 25th trip around the sun.

This thread is for prayers for all those affected by the Virginia Tech Massacre.
May all be granted the strength to get through this. My heart is with all of them.

...Yup...Happy....um....Bunny day. May your chocolate supply be plentiful, and may you remember the Bunny come harvest time with wonderful sweet carrots.
I say Bunny day because so many people celebrate so many different things at this time of the year, and there are so many ancient holidays that are older than what is traditionally celebrated on Easter, so I'll just say Happy Spring (sort of, what with the 36 degree weather here in Indiana). Hope you all had a blast celebrating with your family and friends.

Damn...I'm in trouble...I drink entirely toooooo much soda.
If I were to stop drinking soda I'd drop like 10 lbs.

My aunt was telling me last night that peppermint tea is good for soured/upset stomaches, and heartburn...
Just thought I'd throw that one out there.

We freeze corn cut off the cob every year. And when theres time we can green beans. (My Mother's absolute LEAST favorite chore...) We've done salsa's in the past, and jellies. I'm going to try to do a lot more this year. If for no other reason than to save some money. My family spends a LOT of money on canned vegitables every week. It seems silly to considering the amount of produce that Alan and I grow every year and the amount extra that we have after Market and order's and such. My goal is to take one weekend a month of during the growing season and can like crazy. There's no reason for us to NOT be able to produce enough canned product to feed both of our families during the winter. I'll just have to get some good recipe's from my great Aunt for pickles and such...

Tonight I'm making rump roast, taters, and carrots (with a little onion, much to Corie's dismay), corn bread and some green beans.

I appreciate your replies. Substituting green beans sounds very interesting. The gazpacho sounds like it would be nice on a warm afternoon with a glass of chardonnay. Mike gazpacho is traditionally served cold. Think vegetable juice smoothie...lol!
