Processed the citrons yesterday, took some pics but I'm too lazy to post them right now. I found 3 out of the 26 that where somewhat sweet, all of the sweet ones had yellow flesh.

here's my harvest, didn't do too well, they had heavy weed competition but they did better than the watermelon rows next to them that had the same conditions.

Ok, here is the seed from last year that I'm guessing came from F2 Plants.
And here is this years seed.

In other pea new I had a Naturally Occurring Hybrid show up in the shelling peas. Also I think those purple seeds that came from Joseph Lofthouse Soup pea mix last year where F2 and about half the F3 seed this year is also purple so unless all the purple disappears next year we have some new strains of purple seeded (snap) peas.

ethin , how did all your peas turn out from this spring? Not sure, haven't payed much attention to them besides watering them.
I can report that of the few "heavily branched" peas that did grow one did exhibit some branching and another one is an umbellatum type.

At least 3 plants that I could find so far, the weeds took over the patch the reds are in.

Really? You have a purple passion that has parsley leaves? That's weird. I can't possibly imagine how that would happen... quite the mystery... also really?? The largest and best leaves??? It was always small, thin and spindly for me.. these are the ones with small purple seeds?? Weird... well you never know... .. i have been known to be very lazy with labeling my attempted pea crosses... That's what the chart I made while planting say's is planted in that row segment. Maybe a better word would have been vigorous or precocious, yes they're spindly and the leaves are a bit small but they are taller than the others you sent me and are on average a leaf node or two ahead of the others even though they came up at the same time.

Nah, not yet, still a few weeks to go.
Guess I'll report on how the peas you gave me are doing.
"Heavily Branched" had very poor germination on the first planting done on the 1st of April the second planting I did 2 or 3 weeks ago did much better. "Purple Passion" so far is the largest and healthiest looking of every thing you sent me, there is one plant that has parsley leaves. "J1134"Nap"" and "J11255" both had good germination.

You can never have enough seeds. Ask Joseph, he's seen some of my stash. I think I've got adequate (i've got enough watermelon seed to plant the whole thing) and if I run out of veggies I'll just plant more flowers.

Well I've graduated from horticulture to agriculture. According to google earth My garden area is somewhere around .11 of an acre the field I'm going to start using is about half an acre, so a bit of a step up. The field is about a 4th of a mile away so within easy walking or biking distance. It hasn't been used for a few years so a bit of work to get it ready for planting, so warm season crops this year. Get to see if I'm really cutout for farming.
