thanks for the compliments on the pics all! glad you can see them michel!
yes, all who asked, i will try and save some seeds for you. i'll just refer back to this page when ready. it might not be much, but it'll be a start. i wrote my friend at peters seed and asked him if they plan on having the perennial wheat available this year. the old catalog is still up. will let you all know.
orflo, i have read about the 'old' heritage grains being lost and how in europe, small farmers are trying to bring them back. there was an article awhile back in Grain magazine about it. i'll see if i can find it. they had connections one could make with these farmers.

Thanks for the heads-up stratcat. I emailed Tim. Bunkie, I know your reserves are low, but please keep me in mind when you have more to spare. Your pics are beautiful!

Your welcome, John. Good deal.
By the time I read of per. wheat the psr website didn't even have it listed. Would be great to have a clump in the yard.

yes johno. got you on my list here (pm me your snail mail addy). could i get a little of the 'Squash:saved from Tahitian, possibly crossed with Lav's Musquee du Provence' seed from you and a little Vorlon seed in trade? that Tahitian is like the one Lav was talking about, Butternut variety, right?
btw, i asked dave at psr about the p wheat seed and he thought they'd probably have some next year.
am in the process, still, of winnowing. i figure i'll get the seeds in the mail after Christmas cause i don't want to get them lost with holiday mail. is that ok with you all?
michel, i have your snail mail addy. you want p. wheat, right?
orflo, i need your snail mail addy. let me clarify. you want black sorghum, perennial wheat and rye. i don't have enough rye, but the others are ok.
strat, did you want some wheat?
val, i'll check the links you gave me for your snail addy.
oh johno, i just read about your connection with tim. do you still want some p. wheat from me? if not, i'll find something else to trade for the squash and vorlon.

Hi, Bunkie.
Yes, if you can spare a small sample I'd love to grow a small patch of per. wheat.
I'll pm you later this day.
Thanks.

I have invited Tim Peters to join us. Let's all get together in a huge prayer session that he does, better than that, why don't the interested ones e-mail him to offer help, he asked for it in SSE's forum, and then invite him here.
He would be so happy to have people like you folks to help him, knowing you is pure bliss, and we would be so happy to have him.
Contact him here:
atimberline@yahoo.com or ph. 678-949-1351.

The only reason I didn't invite Tim to HG is because he mentioned at SSE that he didn't check in all the time. Seemed to me that maybe he's not big on forums... But it's probably a good idea, Michel. Maybe he just hadn't found the right one. It certainly would be great to have him here!
Bunkie, sounds like a trade! Tim said it would likely be the end of next summer before he needed help with wheat. I'll send you a PM.

I don't know of any other place on the net where he could find such good help. If ever one here finds such a place please contact me, I'll arrange something with these people, we all have to work together.
It would be amazing for us to have Tim here. I have admired his work for sooo long....

I will be contacting Tim later today. I definitely believe that we have most likely the most in depth and dedicated forum on the net at the moment and I hope to keep it this way, I believe that Tim will see this when he visits the site and having him here would be of great value to everyone here concerned with self sustainability.
