Hairy Vetch or a good clover mix are both great choices, unfortunately both are expensive but are both well worth the cost. Give it a good thinking about friend, if you don't have time for it next year but might put it to use in a year or two, plow it next spring, plant the cover crop and forget about it for a bit.
