And a fantastic one indeed. Martin, I think she just confused it with WISCONSIN 55 GOLD..... Hey, it was early! lol I did confuse them. Sorry. Prolly because I grew the Gold last yr.

Welcome, Toad! I've been here forever, but I let the smart people do most of the garden talking. (I'm quite verbose, otherwise!)
The Siams you said were a year old... is there any taste deterioration? For example, do they get blander? Also, do you have recommendations for other long-lasting squash in storage?

Thanks for all this wellcoming. This thing being danish is both true and not true, since a major part of my family used to live in what is now northern Germany and the spoke a german dialect. My ancestors might have been shooting at each other in the 1848 war - not nice to think about. I did grow Siam a few times, but never kept them that long. But I think they still taste perfect after a year. They take too much space in my garden as they are wildly rambling.
