We love rose hips, I make jelly and jams with them as well as tea. My Thomas Lipton, throws them like crazy. It's my pride and joy, since I got it for free as a little stick that didn't look so good. Now it's 18' tall and 20' across. I'm propagating 4 more, the thorns on this rose should make a lovely hedge. I ordered 4 more rambler type recommended to give nice big hips. Plus they make wonderful portpourri. I usually give them as gifts for Xmas.

doccat-would you mind giving us your recipe? I grow lots of old roses, but I have never tried any tea or jams. I was never sure exactly what to do with the hips for tea, and what does it taste like? Thanks, Karen
