Johnno, I grew copia this past summer and it was a real winner, both in taste and production, around 40+ pounds per vine. The taste is right up there too. I did not trim them at all.
Definitrly a come back tomato for me.

Hi-Rebsie, i somehow missed your post earlier- until now. Yes- I can trade you some O.S.U. Blue tomato seed, for some of your Green Tiger seed, if that's ok. also I have lots more tomatoes to pick from if your interested. If you e-mail me your address I will have them in the post to you by the day after Boxing day, as I usually don't post anything so close to christmas owing to the mad christmas rush post etc,

Hi Rebsie, today I finally got mail...after 1 week, yes, it has been that bad! Never seen so much snow here in Portland, Oregon, like I said, no mail for days. The point I was trying to make is that I got the seeds you sent today and I was really excited, I was stressing out about them. So, thank you very much!!!! I can't wait for Spring to plant them all! Because of the weather I have not been able to get yours to the Post Office yet; the snow is starting to melt so I hope I can do that next Monday or Tuesday. Thank you again. Paola

I haven't logged in for over a week, so I'm still catching up!
I'm glad the packages have been arriving. Paola, I was worried too because I'm a natural worrier and I'm always nervous the US postal service is going to intercept and destroy my precious seeds. It's a relief to know that the packages I've sent to the US seem to be getting through OK. No rush for sending me seeds, it'll be another couple of months before I can plant anything anyway.
Michael, I would love to have some OSU Blue. Many thanks indeed. I have plenty of Green Tiger available.

Rebsie, just a quick note and big thank you for the lovely parcel that arrived this morning. Now to figure how to add all the lovely seeds to this spring's planting. Again a big thank you and after New Years you must allow me the privilege of returning a package to you. Cheers, Val and Dan (grungy and grunt)

Glad it got there, Val. Have fun! I'm still working my way through the tomato shortlist ... trying to be realistic about what I can grow in a limited space but tempted by so many. I'll let you know!

the Poletschka bean seed is the most beautiful purple (hint) in seed that i've ever seen...course, that could be coloring by the newfangled economic lights we bought???! can't wait to grow them! thank you so much!

Hello again Rebsie, I'M SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!! I MADE IT OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY TODAY!! I sent the "beads" your way today, if somebody reads the note included I hope it will be confusing enough to leave the rest alone! I really don't know if it is a problem sending seeds into your country, but I know it is here, ask CanadaMike, he'll give you a nice spill on Homeland Security!!!! Let me know when you get them, please. Thank you again. Paola

Paola, there should be no problem sending the "beads" to me. Although we do have an illiberal control-freak government who seem hell bent on banning or controlling anything which might lead us to enjoy ourselves, they haven't got as far as banning small seed imports yet. So the UK (and, I believe, the rest of Europe) does not have the same silly regulations and bureaucracy as the US. Thank you for sending the parcel, I will let you know when it arrives.
Bunkie, indeed the Poletschka bean is one of the most beautiful I've seen. The colour varies between dark purple and black, and they are so shiny shiny! Just wait till next year when you have a whole load of them to run your hands through ... ooooooooh!

I must give credit where it's due ... I believe it was originally Michel's idea. Paola told me about it, and it seemed like a great idea, so I decided to try it.

I regularly send seed to the state and so far no one has destroyed it though I know they can be difficult. Maybe I should start writing 'beads'.
