Jewelweed can be used for any skin irritation or bugbites. Just break the stem & apply the juice. Of course, you have to be able to identify the jewelweed. Plantain is also good for mosquito bites. I love the smell of anise hyssop, and any basil.

Oh, grow some Stevia, too.
Great natural sweetener. Don't think it has any calories. Threw a few leaves in some salsa one time (just for grins) and was amazed at how much it sweetened the salsa.

I just got ahold of some stevia seed! Definitely looking forward to that one this year! I told Kim about it and she decided she had to have it.

Alan, Stevia is the one I had you and Kim taste when you were over here. I have a bunch of starts for Kim too of various good smelling plants.

Yes...starts are awesome...Thank you Karen. Gonna have to find a place to put them to keep the gianormous flock of poutry out of them though...The little brats are getting to where they like to hide from the roosters under the porches now...Theres one little hen, that between the dogs and the roosters, its a wonder she hasn't ran herself to the point of having a heart attack.

Kim was foraging through the giant box of seeds you gave us the other day Karen and as she did she named off a number of things that I had to "liberate" for my own fun! Thanks again! (runs and hides from Kim)
