hahahaha
I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that run off batteries. I can't stand the wires. My computer chair is actually a recliner and I kick back with the keyboard on my lap and the mouse on the arm of the chair.
What kind of camera do you have? Maybe I can help find the software you need. I'm a computer nerd! Let me know the brand and model number and what kind of operating system you have (windows, etc).
A new CD player for computer will run you less than $20 from TigerDirect.

Sure! I can type it here, if you don't mind the thread jacking. hehe Turn off computer. Remove power cable from back of computer so you don't get a shock! (I never have been shocked, but better safe than sorry.) Open computer box. Locate screws holding CD drive. Look at the cables at the back of the CD drive. There is a power cable with red/black/yellow wires with a white plug. And there is a long black plug with a gray cable. Pull gently on both cables and put to the side. Unscrew the CD drive and slide it out the front. Slide in new CD drive. Before screwing in place, put the cables in the back of the new drive. The power cable can only go in one way so there's no chance to put it backwards. The gray big flat cable (called an IDE cable) has a red line on it. Red line side goes nearest the power cable. Push in on both sides so the whole thing is in properly. May have to give it a good gentle steady push. Line up the screw holes and put screws back in. Voila! New CD drive installed. Now put back the electrical power cord on the back of the computer and turn on. CD drive should be what's called "plug and play" meaning that there are no additional drivers necessary to run it. Put disc in drive and try it out. Here is a video I found online. Don't worry about the static thing he's talking about. As long as you're not using a magnetic screwdriver and walking on wool carpets you should be OK. Just merely touching the metal parts of the case with your hand before using the screwdriver you will be just fine. www.videojug.com/film/how-to-install-or-change-my-computers-optical-driveBut I include that video so you can have a visual reference on what to do. The guy in the video talks about jumpers. If you only have one CD drive then you don't need to worry about the jumpers. If you have more than one drive let me know and I can tell you more how to deal with that.

Ceara, Thanks for the instructions. I'll see about getting a new CD-ROM next week maybe and trying to install it. Today, I don't seem to be able to install anything. I tried to hang a hose hanger on the house. I've got about 6 screw holes out there now in the siding and none of them line up with the hanger. Maybe I'll screw it to the picnic table. That might work.

Sounds like you need some longer screws!

No, it's not the length, it's the placement. It's a hose hanger/outdoor sink. It has 5 places for screws with anchors. But I just couldn't seem to get it right today. It has a template. I thought I could do it without cutting out a template, etc. Obviously not.
Useless today.

Oh alright I think I know what you mean now.
Hmmm do you have an ink pad like for stamps or maybe a kid's juicy water marker? Draw heavily on the back of the rack where the screws are supposed to go and then press down hard. It should leave a mark where you can put the screws.

Then I get irate and smash it with the hammer or whatever else is handy that will do damage. We have to turn the cold water on in the shower with pliers thanks to me and a "project gone wrong." The knob was beaten to a metal pulp. The other day I was trying to rehang a cabinet door in the kitchen and it wouldn't hang straight. So what do I do? Throw it out the back door. Later, when I look for it, it's gone, apparently drug off by the neighbor's dog who likes to steal everything. So now, I am missing a kitchen cabinet door. I feel for ya, I feel for ya.

You will then be able to move the good rich soil elsewhere if you want. Michel beat me to the punch. I would think that you might be able to convince them to let you move the soil if they decide to pave it into a road someday. I would certainly take advantage of the opportunity. Extra growing space right next door?! God must like you ... I couldn't figure out what a "Loonie" was so I Googled it. Now, I remember ... it's the Canadian dollar coin. Went on a trip to Windsor with my brother and SIL. While there, they bought and presented to me a T-shirt with this bird on it. I asked, "Why are you giving me a shirt with a bird on it?" "It's a Loon," they said. "Why are you giving me a shirt with a Loon on it?" "Well ... you were the first person we thought of when we saw it" I was a little slow to get the joke ... ;D

SB, at least our National bird isn't Bald, lol Ceara thanks but no, I don't have juicy water markers(whatever they might be). I'll just go nail the template to the wall of the house later, lol. The camera is a Fuji A600. All I can find on Fuji's site are upgrades. Need the software first to upgrade, duh Moonie, It's a Good Thing that we aren't next door neighbours...people might get hurt by the flying debris,

thanks, I've downloaded the driver, I just didn't get around to trying the camera. I spent most of the day cleaning debris out of the perennial garden and wherever else I could find old tools, broken toys etc. Today....
