Dandy. We border a field where the farmer used GMO RoundUpReady soy and corn. Thanks to the article, I have now IDd one of the weeds I'm having problems with. =o( ::sigh:: Well, I guess it will keep my boys busy over the summer keeping that and the wild marigolds at bay! Thanks for the posting... not that I need another reason to detest monsanto... ;o)

Certain plants have always been resistant to glyphosates and Palmer pigweed is one of them. A rumor exists that anti-Monsanto factions may have deliberately spread it from its native SW into Georgia. The article is indeed correct in that it has "popped up in GM crops". A non-native plant does not just "pop up" in an area where it never existed before.
