Over here in the Uk, it's been absolutely P-ss--G down every single day for about three weeks now, everything is becoming waterlogged, just at a time when you don't need it and the tomatoes are trying to ripen, a few weeks ago it was boiling sun up to 90 degrees F, and now this awful weather,
We have a saying over here regarding Saint Swithans day, they say if it rains on St Swithans day it will continue to rain for forty days and forty nights after that-and it did. !!!!

Apparently Indiana has relocated to the Pacific Northwest. Rain all the time, low temperatures.
Today thunderstorms and sever flash flooding. Pretty much two or three days a week this summer this is what we are experiencing.

Terrible flooding all around us, but so far we have missed it, although it is building and there is no way we are going to miss the second round of storms. Just an hour south of here in Louisville KY they are having an unbelievable flood. Showing their library destroyed, books floating and computers trashed.

Tornado warnings here last night, heavy rain again. Some damage about 20 miles north of here not serious some trees down.
Today cloudly and cool, so strange for August.

I lived in Lomita when I was a kid! It rains in January for 8.9 minutes then goes away. Next bit of weather is burning hot wind of the Santa Ana's that comes through typically from August through September and sometimes into October. IF, I remember correctly (that's been 40 years gone now so if I'm incorrect, I have earned forgiveness, right? ;o)

Mnjr Yeah that sounds about right. I have a friend who has a sound-stage in Torrance, which is right next to Lomita. I live near the beach so we don't get that much of the Santa Anna's. Nice to make your acquaintance.

The pleasure is mine Willie! Torrance no less! My dad and I rode our bikes down Narbonne and into Torrence then over to Del Amo Mall. I nearly killed myself and crunched my bike tire when I hit a planter on the sidewalk where there was some sort of school or sporting (tennis?) field. Redondo Beach, San Pedro, Palos Verdes, oh man... talk about memories! I remember the sheriffs department being built on Narbonne. If you turned on Narbonne, heading up the hill from PCH, we lived in the first apartment building on the left, first apartment on the left. I wonder if the gas station and car wash are still there. I won't tell you what my friends and I did when they were building the apartment building right next door... ;o)
