"Toxic Veggie Nightmare"? her garden is "polluted with sludge"?
The article states that
"93 ppm of sludge in soil is somewhat normal for older urban locales. However, the EPA recommends not growing food in soil that has 100 ppm"
First, the 93 ppm is for LEAD level, not SLUDGE level. someone didn't proofread.
But, 93 ppm is still BELOW the EPA guideline for lead. How does this qualify as "polluted", as the article title asserts? How can something which measures below the EPA recommended threshold for something, be labeled "toxic"? What standard are they relying on to make this assertion?
To me this is irresponsible, sensationalistic and sloppy journalism (and I use the term loosely).
