This is gonna be my first try at growing lettuce! I bought the Romaine Dark Green Cos seeds and was wondering if it was better to start the seeds indoors or just plant them straight in the garden? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What is your weather like right now. Lettuce prefers cooler soil temps. so if you are still warm at least provide shade til they germinate and then mulch around the roots as soon as you are able to.

Richard, you could also put the seeds in the fridge for 5 days. Lettuce likes cool soil temps. So planting in partial shade might not be a bad idea either.
