A cherry tomato full of fruit when it happened. I haven't quite learned yet-how to post the attachment photos one behind the other in line-in a single post rather than three-anyone know how ?. Attachments:

You simply repeat the process....the cursor has to be moved down, so the pictures are not glued together, as any sentence of writen words would have to be...When you put the picture in, you see a line of words/letters...just change the place of the cursor and add a new picture as if you were writing a new sentence..

Thanks Mike, I wondered how you did it, it sounds quite easy once it is explained, it is basically the lack of basic information on different forums that make things confusing.
I didn't realize it was as simple as that to do.

GREAT GOOGLEY MOOGLEY MICHAEL! How did you get pictures of my poor blighted tomato plants? I have about 20 some odd plants and have only gotten one tiny black cherry tomato to ripen! The rest of them look much like yours only with all GREEN fruits! We have had the coldest wettest summer this year and I am actually thinking of (GASP ) buying some from the big roadside stand, I feel like such a failure! I have never had this poor of luck with tomato plants ever! Next year I am going to have to plant 4 times as many and hope for the best. That way we will probably have a bumper crop and I won't know what to do with them all! I'm just sorry that you have had such poor luck this year too. But you must look for the silver lining- There is always next year!

It stinks, doesn't it, Emerald? Out of 400 plants, I've gotten now about 3 1/2 bushels. Critters are doing a good job of eating the few fruits that do exist.
Interestingly, out of that total amount of fruit, about half of it has come off of my 13 '4th of July' plants. I love that variety, it is such a trooper.
Many of my heirlooms have NOTHING at all on them, alas.
Good thing I still have a lot of canned tomato products from last year.
In 6 months, it will be time to start all over again. 6 months goes very fast!

The two different cherry tomatoes that I have going are the only ones that are still outgrowing the blight, Yellow submarine and Black cherry. I hope that they are gonna ripen up soon, the fruits look large enuf. But oddly enuf- the squashes and pumpkins and cucumbers are doing ok. The peaches are another story- next year I will spray for the spots that I had on some of the fruit as it rapidly spread thru-out one of the trees, and the freaking bugs ate most of the rest! We ended up with just enuf to eat and enjoy but not any to freeze or can- but this was the first year I even got fruit so I was quite unready for the amount of fruit that set-at least the chickens enjoyed the bad fruit with the bugs in it! I will learn from this mistake for sure! The hubby has already told me I can buy the organic stuff I need as he was bummed about the loss of about 3 bushels of fruit. The green beans are doing great too- that rattlesnake that you sent is the best! The Mccaslin that I was sent is also a big winner- I have let the rest of the pods go to seed right now so that I will have more for next year. Well off to check on the Canadian bacon I got in the smoker and to see if the water for the apple wine that I boiled is cooled enuf to start putting the batch in the carboy.. again-- Great to see ya Denninmi!

Somehow I've avoided this blight situation. I have very little plant damage to this point..but I don't normally even get out into the garden until mid afternoon at best so it's almost always dry.
Welcome denninmi

I think I might be recovering? Sorta? I have to go out and do more work on it, but there is a ton of fresh new growth at the top of my tomato plants along with lots of flowers and even a few new fruits. On the other hand there are still tons of leaf leg bugs, stink bugs, and hoppers of every description. So even what is there is being stung left and right. I also need to get the basil under control. The Genovese is as tall as I am!?!?
