Flower, between him an the cat, your cat does not even stand to contemplate the chance to kill it. If they meet, your cat is dead. Pure and simple. Not a chance he will survive. Killing cats is as easy for them as it is for you to kill an earthworm. And they do it cruelly, just for the fun to kill them and they love it. Around here, we kind of have an invasion, and cats are disappearing all over the place, dogs too.
This little thing of beauty can kill a german shepperd. if under attack, but WILL attack smaller animals for pure pleasure. And they are serial killers.
So, kill it or give your cat to somebody who lives far , keep him inside or prepare for the eventuality of burying him... it is as simple as that.
