On Sunday while mowing amongst the trees, a hawk swooped down right in front of me and landed in the top of a tree about 30 feet away. All of a sudden it came back almost hitting me this time and landed in the top of another tree.
I rode my mower up to the house and grabbed the binoculars and watched the hawk dive again, catching a purple martin. Later the hawk was back circling the area, but I did not see it make another dive.
