Janet, on pages 1 & 2 of this thread there are pictures of daylilies, which are actually Hemerocallis. Stevils pictures are of Lilium species. The individual blooms of dayliles only last a day each, but the blooms of the true lilies last longer.

Thanks. I guess I am thinking of the Stella d' Oro lilys as don't they bloom all summer, are small and yellow? I would love to have some of these. I worked at a gaming boat (Ceasars Indiana) for 5 years as a shuttle driver. They had these little yellow lilys that bloomed all summer and I have been looking for them ever since. In doing my own research I do believe these are what they were. You know, It is so tough sometimes to find out what something is when all you know is what is looks like.

Janet, that is probably Stella. I have some that you are welcome to, forgot that I do have some yellows. They multiply like crazy, and they do rebloom.

Sorry to spoil the fun a bit, but I've recently been studying the facts concerning reports of Dayliliies causing gastrointestinal distress. Stevil - is this for both the flower and tuber? We eat the tubers pickled in kimchee - I don't care for them raw. If there is colchicine in the tubers I'm guessing the lacto fermentation process neutralizes it.
