... And even if I did, I wouldn't admit it. Womenfolks is always so sneaky like dat ... BTW, I was quite relieved to find out that this thread was NOT about what I fearfully assumed when I read the title ... more womenfolk sneakiness ...

I saw a video from BBC Gardeners World last year that showed a husband and wife that actually split their large back yard in half and each half is a totally different garden, complete with a fence right down the middle.
It was kind of funny because they agreed to disagree and each had their own area. One side was cottage garden theme chock full of stuff in organized chaos, and the other half had a tropical theme with hardy palms and tree ferns. It was hilarious because when they explained their situation, you could sense the competition between them and they "argued" which side of the garden was the best with a sparkle in their eyes. Who knows, it probably created a very passionate marriage. hehehe

Just like with anything else in life it is awesome to be liberated from the constraints of someone else. Now, you should track down one really amazing pepper that he doesn't grow, raise it up, and use it to score gardening points over him! That's such a good idea! Of course, I wouln't be able to let him have any of said awesome pepper. ;D I'm also going to give him a run for his money with tomato plants. He rarely will stake ours, so they just lay on the ground and are hard to pick. Mine will be elegantly staked with bamboo teepees.

Once my garden is doing really well, he will probably go in and do some weeding and picking, so he can say he had a part in it. That's what happened with my rose garden. "See? I deadheaded a spent rose off Mr. Lincoln. See? Did you notice what I did?"

Yes I understand. hehe
My honey takes 100% of the credit for planting a fresh lemon seed to grow a lemon tree. Of course he had nothing to do with it, but thinks I'm a liar for saying it was all my idea.
