Dan & Dean, or is that Jan & Dean?
I can send you a spare flashlight, if you need it. I don't think I can get it there before the storm hits though! Would you mind sending the snow to our Cascade Mountains? We are kinda low on snow this year, which may make a dry summer for us. Most of our water comes from winter snow melt.
Stay warm, stay safe and stay sane. Oh, and take pictures.

BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES AND SOME IMPASSABLE ROADS IN RURAL AREAS. How rural are these roads? We get storms like that all the time, especially the heavy drifting. I've never seen an impassable road from snowfall, only flooding. Maybe NY is just better prepared. We are also supposed to get snow. Not sure how much- could be 6 in or 16 in. It has snowed here 5 of the last 7 days. My town picked up at least 4-5 inches last week & we had no snow storms. Just continuous flurries, but it builds up. We get close to 10 ft/yr here.

Around Kevin it will be worse. A lot more rural. For Dan and I tomorrow will be a mess but we should be fine. The worst case is I'll have to stay home with the kids instead of going to work. Jenn is a nurse and has to be able to get to the hospital so she has a 4wd drive jeep and should be able to get there safely. If its bad enough though I wont let her go.

Drive Safely if you must. Otherwise, leave the roads to Emergency vehicles and roadclearing crews.

That's old hat weather where I live. hehe We got 3 feet of snow this last weekend, with high winds. Then yesterday we got another foot of snow, but then it turned into freezing rain overnight and the basement got partially flooded. So underneath a cover of snow on the driveway, there's a thick layer of ice. Fun fun fun. Our driveway is pretty much a skating rink now.
Everyone that has to drive, stay safe! Watch out for the idiots that don't know how to drive in winter.

We are still under a warning but Sisters kids still went to school. So far my guess is 3 inches so far. Main roads are not to bad but the County don't get to the side roads til they get the main roads clear.Wind is starting to pick up some. So I am sure we will have drifting snow in spots. Ohio does pretty good for the most part clearing roads.Williams County should be in good shape. Kevin

My family has a place on nettle lake. I was there all weekend. I'd love to move that way. We are not far from there or Seneca. Nettle got hit back around 92 with a tornado. Big mess. Not a bad area in general though. Kevin
