So, obviously we got caught up in the gardening season. How did shoes go for folks?
I am not so crafty that I insist on trying to make shoes at this point, but it seems a nice skill to learn eventually. I found a old wood box of my grandpas stuff that is years and years old with some leather scrap and some sole patterns in it. I should ask my dad about it. I dont remember any hand-made looking shoes in the family growing up. mebbe he was just dabbling.

It has been put to the back burner for me partially because I need more tools. I'd be very interested in acquiring what you have. Bunkie probably would also. I think she and I are the most interested in the activity. Is it possible that you could a) scrounge around for other related tools, b) determine if it's something everyone involved would be willing to see go to other hands, and c) take some photos and post them so we can see what you have?
Thanks for keeping us in mind for this Kelley!

yes jo! count me in! i'm stuck with lack of tools at the moment too. planned on looking around this winter on the net to see what i can find. also, i am in a canning and dehydrating frenzy now with the full harvest done in the gardens and continuing in the orchard.
