I started these for their early spring flowers and because I had heard they were edible though sometimes the descriptions were 'damning with faint praise.' At any rate, I tried some the other day and they were delicious! Kind of spicy like argula. These were plants that had been hanging out under a snowdrift all winter so were probably naturally a bit blanched and we are still having frosts. I'm not sure how long the harvest season lasts but it was yummy so far.
Anyone else enjoy eating English Daisy leaves?

I only mix them with other leaf salads, the taste is a bit too strong for me. I usually eat them in spring, just when they start to bloom (that way they are easier to be found). Later they turn slightly bitter because of the heat...

I suspect they are quite mild tasting because of all the frost. I'll have to continue to try them and see when they lose their pleasantness.
