Raymondo - For eating, I consider the kale seed we harvest for winter sprouting to be as important as the leaf production. The brassicas are such copious seed producers, if you're growing them for seed, you're going to have hundreds of times more than you need for replanting, anyway - and it just so happens they're an ideal size and temperament for making sprouts. Good news about sprouting brassica seeds. I happen to have lots of Red Russian kale seed from last season so I'll try some sprouts. In terms of food plants, the brassicas are one of the best sources for temperate gardens.
A cross would between those two would be interesting Telsing. A cabbage grex?
