we have moved the 'kids' to another larger pen this week. will take pics later...they're 4 weeks old today! duckies a little over a week old... first outside pen...woohoo room... pete visiting the duckies... pete resting after visiting with the duckies... do i hear more birds.... garlic scapes from our garden, yum...

Awww, they are so cute, and i LOVE how Pete "shows" up in pretty much, each picture......he's so cute!

whelp, the duckies are 7 and a half weeks old now, gaining feathers as well as an 'attitude'. they went from eating out of my hands to running away from me...damn teenagers! i'm going to buy a duck call and take control of my flock...very very soon! ) duck pens....ed built a small one with a cabin in it for nighttime, and a larger one for outdoor perusing...that one will be made much bigger, and have a real pond soon... scared ducks...here comes mom to feed us... oh no! it was pete...jumping on the roof again... not walking, but running from little to big pen... large outdoor pen... fresh food and water... closing gate to run...lizzie helping... closeup...new feathers and wings, oh my! daddy duck watches over flock... pen view from the balconey...

Your duckies are really cute! They remind me of the keets thought the keets run away from the start!

whelp, the 'teenagers' are almost ten weeks old now, come Monday. hubby built them a nice big pen and a nice full pond. they finally found the pond the beginning of this week, and have been in it ever since! hubby's afraid they're gonna get water-logged! :mrgreen: here's the latest in pics... duck pen from our porch. everyone's eating... duck pen, heading for the pond... duck pen, in pond... duck pen and start of wood pile in foreground... duck pond , all lined up in a row (in center of pics)... they here us coming... pete helping at duck gate... oh no...pete's with her...run for the hills! flapping wings... more flapping...happy campers...er...i mean happy ducks!

Enjoying your duckling photos. I have seven teenage Silver Appleyard ducklings whose antics, are quite amusing as they learn to navigate the 'outside' world. Coexisting with a small Muscovy flock and a few chickens.
Also a Muscovy mom is raising her ten babies in a garden storage shed on our deck. Move over, lawn furniture...make way for ducklings!
And their kiddie pool.

more pics... duck expansion...apparently the duckies thought their pond was too small...we now have to enlarge their pen... new duck feeder... boy ducks...see the little curly tail feather... duck's anxiously waiting... spraying ducks.... happy ducks...
