I had about 2ounces of them but they were stolen from me this summer. However, I distributed them to many folks here in the last 2 years. As they are an absolute delight to eat and make quite a splash in a plate of ''crudités'' or raw vegetables, I intend to order them again this winter from Thomas Etty in the UK. Maybe one of our friends in the UK could act as a relay here. They do ship to Canada but not the US. It is however a long process, I have to send money electronicaly there and it is costly for a small order. Etty now accepts paypal and is listing the Black Spanish carrot in the current catalogue, although no price is listed and I'm not sure what that means: www.thomasetty.co.uk/seeds/veg-flower-2011.pdf"Spanish Black or Zanahoria Morada. Roots thin at the end & purplish black on the surface. Interior white flamed purple. “The history of this variety is difficult to decipher, as it appears infrequently in written text. It is known that the “Mulberry Carrot” has been cultivated for over 300 years in the East, although it did not arrive in Europe until sometime later” 700 seeds or 300 seeds" Still doesn't send seeds to the US. Is there anyone in Canada or Europe who will relay seeds to the US?

I have a packet of Etty's Spanish Blacks I bought last year and didn't plant due to illness. I still want to try it, but I'd be happy to split it with someone if you PM me. Obviously it's old seed, and carrots are short-lived, but you're welcome to try it!
