I see other sites starting their holiday gift exchanges. We really can't do the whole gift box thing here. People are just spread all over the planet here at HG.
So we will be doing a simple card exchange in celebration of the New Year. We all had fun last yr. It's always cool to get a little surprise in the mailbox, and we all love seeds here. lol
I will send you the name & addy of another member. You put 2-3 varieties of seed in a greeting card and mail it to them. You will receive a card from a different member. Please try to mail them so they get there by the New Year.
We are using cards because they easily go through the mail, even internationally. And there are no forms to fill out either. Plenty of seeds travel perfectly, some do not. Do not send squash, sunflower, melons or other bulky seeds. They will get crushed in the postal machines. Things like maters, eggplant, pepper, herbs... go through just fine.
I will be encouraging international trades whenever possible. Plus I always end up with way more US people. lol So if you live outside the US, you will most likely be mailing internationally. If you live in the US and would be willing to send to another country, let me know. It costs 70 cents to Canada, 98 for Europe. And delivery times really vary. So send by Dec 1 if it's to a different country. Though, I sent a card to Michael Johnson in England and it took only 3 days. Some kind of miracle. But sometimes it takes 3 weeks to make it to Ontario. That's only 3 hrs from here. lol
Just shoot me a PM with you name and addy if you want to participate. The last day to sign up is November 17th. Thanks
