"Mushrooms of North America" Phillips, this seems to me more like what I remember as my good book; I know I have "Mushroom Hunter's...", but like "Mushrooms in Color", it was a secondary reference for me.

Yee-ha! Found a double handfull of shaggymanes still totally buttoned up; this cool, wet weather does have a bright side. Also starting to see flushes of other types of mushrooms; time to keep the truck stocked with ziplocks.
