As I stated in the announcement, I'll do my best to help you all out. I'll address a few that I've seen as I've meandered through the boards right now. 1.) Replying to messages. There is a quick reply at the bottom of the thread, however, once you've opened the thread and would like to reply and have a normal reply screen, there is a reply button that appears in the blue header at the top of the first post on each page. You can also quote certain posts by clicking the quote button that appears on the post of the person that you'd like to quote. 2.) How do I post pictures?I personally prefer using an image host such as Photobucket, you can set up a free account upload your pictures to Photobucket and actually resize the pitures as you upload them by the options on the upload screen, and then post the image tag (which appears as "[ img ]" image url "[ / img ]" minus the quotation marks and spaces) on our forums. Photobucket has options under each uploaded picture with different ways to post them, either with an URL which will just be a link that links back to that picture, or with the img tag it will actually post the picture in the thread. There are also ways to post a lot of photos at once. The plus side of using an image host is that it saves our bandwidth as well... If y'all have questions, post them in here, and I'll try to answer them all in the evenings.

I have a question. Is there a way I can log in permanently? The function that says you can do that doesn't work. I have to log in every time, and it lasts for six hours or so. Sometimes I miss messages for a couple of days because I just read and didn't log in...

Johno, the 6 hour login appears to be the default setting for this board. When you type in your user name and password, are you clicking on third box that says how long to stay logged in for to override the 6 hours and reset it at Forever?

Very strange. Maybe Mr. Strangefruit can see if something is remiss in the site software? I dunno what else to say?
Unless of course, Johno, it's your AOL software that's being disagreeable? Now that's a possibility.

Thanks all for speaking chinese to me. Kimmie, Alan asked me me in a PM to post some pictures next year, wich I would gladly do, expecting some back from Jonho and his green melons especially, but I am nit very computer savy and what you wrote means nothing to me. Abbreviations are the hell of a mess for a french guy, and so are computers for a guy like me. I am in a childhood computer stage, this thing is culturally very weird to me.
I hate to admit it. But I am doing my best...and Vivianne loves me anyway...and I love her... And my mom loves me too... what were you talking about ...LOL
Michel,
An older bugger trying to stay young.....

Michel, We can start from the very beginning. Do you have a digital camera to download pics from?? Or do you work from a scanner? Wait...You keep saying you have a house full of teenyboppers. I bet that one of them knows what Photobucket is, AND how to upload pics from your computer to that site. I bet they'd be happy to show Papa!!

Yep, the 235 pounds of teenaged flesh knows, and all his suite too. Gosh I feel stupid.... I bought a 500$ digital camera to my wife, I think we have a plan....
But we are soooo ''not camera '' people that I affectionnately often nickname Vivi ''AHFUCK'' like in '' Ah fuck! I forgot to bring the camera''
It even happened this spring when we went to Cancun, she forgot it home. I bought a cheap one there, she forgot to bring it while we were on a tour 70 miles away, I bought another one in Xcaret, and the next day, well equiped with 2, she kept forgeting about it, and we ended up paying my friend for doubles of the pictures he took...
So I hope I'll be better with it than she is....

I have another question... Where you can click to read the ten most recent posts, is there a way to change that number? Say, to 20?

HI! I want to upload an avatar! So, like, I barely know what an avatar is let alone how to upload one! I have a blog, www.trulythankful.typepad.com. On the front page there is a little photo of me with my son and that is what I want to use. How? I really don't want to hassle using photobucket or any other service if at all possible. Also, on my blog I have photos of my garden in albums. Can I insert those when appropriate?
