Actually...yes. I would have thought they'd be done 'scrubbing' their sites by now... ;D The first order of business to attend to when sending out DMCA takedown notices(or any other IP related notices)...scrub your own site of all incriminating content... But I'd say that this one example is just the tip of the iceberg, I've read some of their stuff and it so awfully darn close to things written in the 1920s, 30s and 40s, close enough that if the copyrights (before March, 1936 are expired, now...) on it hadn't expired, there would probably be a bigger 'flap' over it. Which, is further proof, that the words are not 'trademark worthy'...if they can't use original content to describe, discuss and teach their 'original' concept, then it isn't very original, is it?

It caught me by surprise . The thoughts of dishonest and thieves comes to my mind but overwhelmingly the impression they are very manipulative, how far can does it go ? Was part of their underlying premise to portray a lifestyle to blog about and capitolize on it? Stranger things have happened and this is getting strange. Funny you use the term scrubbing their sites, they have been in some aspects ! They had a few public posted sites that encouraged sharing of their religious issues that have now been all pointed to the Path To Freedom site that is decidedly very calculated and deliberately presented with a focus on sustainability . I prefer someone like mnjrutherford who is straightforward about her convictions . Below is my post over at Sustainable Country forum but I thought it might be an eye opener : I was curious if anyone read Jules Dervaes website The Sword of Joshua ? Their links to their religious websites are now pointed to their Path of Freedom site. Here is a cached link if you want to get some idea: http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...=www.google.ca Ah well they forgot some hyperlinks to pages posted publically on the web , and navigation remains mostly unadjusted within these two auxilliary sites , but accessing them has had most of the links redirected to Path Of Freedom (which doen't really even touch much on their earth ministry except to offer methods of payment of donations) : thehiddenyears.org/book-index/thelettertolaodicea.org/book-index/Quite a departure from the representation projected by Path to Freedom website which seems rather tailored to be palatable and saleable to the sustainability movement. Absolutely nothing wrong with their physical endeavours for sustainability and I think everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. It just struck me that they were very deliberate in the way they presented their different facets of their public faces . What still does not seem right is the claiming ownership of the right to use the terms Urban Homestead and other terms to make their money , and denying others of that same right.

There are two expressions that describe the same phenomena in diametrically opposed ways. See if you can figure out which is appropriate here: The cream always rises to the top. Sh*t floats.
