NO NO Stone, I asked for Joseph FIRST! He has to come here if he's bored and feels the need to hoe. ;DHe and Steev are coming to weed. ;D ;DI'm going to win the lottery. And the Easter bunny's bringing me some chocolate eggs. Really Now, quit hijacking this thread, we are all waiting for Tom to announce his new arrival....3 daughters and a son farm? 4 daughters farm??? 4 kids and and two tired parents farm? Tom, I can't wait to plant those melons that made your girls so happy.

No, really! I am not coming to weed, at least not before Hell freezes over. The current crop of dirty grease-balls who will surely fuel those fires would seem to portend that not happening in the near future, if ever.

Now, quit hijacking this thread, we are all waiting for Tom to announce his new arrival. Do you really feel like talking to Tom about the weeds down here is hijacking the thread? I've gardened all over the country, and I know a little about plants in different regions, and wanted to let Tom know what it was like here in the deep south. I hoped that he would be more appreciative of his wonderful garden... If you feel like that discussion has gone on long enough... k.. Will drop it...

Stone, Please learn to enjoy the humor on this forum. The forum is small enough that we all feel like family. Most of us would do anything for each other. And since I have a grandson due in 2 weeks, I am anxious to announce my new arrival, also. And your discussion on weeds was very pertinent and interesting. David

Spring is coming; those expecting new sprouts on your family trees are so fortunate.

That purple nutsedge is an amazing weed, and mechanical cultivation only seems to encourage it. Yall up in the cold don't have nething like it... and I've fought the good fight in attempting to dig it out and sift the soil, and all the other things that a good organic gardener would attempt... only to see it take encouragement from my efforts. Some of our weeds... People in these parts talk about the only win being to pack up and move away.

sorry had not checked this thread in a while. It is 4 daughters now. In fact #4 is now nearly 5 months old. Patti finally found the time to update the logo, but I have not looked into changing the web address. Honestly, with how many hits I get off of the current address I am loath to change it. There are photos of the baby up, and she even is feeding herself watermelon. She cut teeth at 16 weeks and loves gnawing on melon. <smile> threedaughtersfarm.com/wp/?p=1323Tom

<grin> and I am very appreciative of my gardens. Weeds or no weeds.
Honestly, the hardest weeds to deal with are the thistle. They are prevalent at my two large locations, being Red Wing and the Ness Farm. I tend to never use gloves, so finding those stickers dug into my callouses later is annoying.
