the girl ducks get a loud kinda base voice and the boys much higher pitch.

another way, sometimes, to tell them apart is the color of their feet and beaks. dark tend to be male.

Thanks for all the compliments. I have been letting them free range most of the day. And then just giving them pellets at nite. They seem to be quite full of dandelions and snails though. lol And they really enjoy swimming in the turtle.

The saxony hen is significantly smaller than the rest. She's perfectly fine otherwise. Inbreeding maybe? She's the loudest one in the bunch and leads the rest of them around. I call her Pippa. It's a cute name for a duck. lol

Since we got ducks last year, we have found them unendingly amusing. Have you given them frozen peas as a treat yet, FP? My ducks go NUTS for frozen peas. They make a noise like a rooting puppy, or piglet. Hysterical!
