My tiller was in the fire I had last winter, one tire caught fire the air cleaner melted off the tiller. I went to the authorized dealer to get a new tire it cost me $ 70.77 then I found the same tire online for $16.50 plus $14.00 shipping. So when it came to the air cleaner I got one from an old lawn mower bought a copper elbow the right size and a brass pipe then set about cutting a flange out of 1/4 plate steel to fit the carburetor and adapted the old air cleaner to the tiller. I made a bracket out of sheet brass to brace the air cleaner. It runs like a top now.

Mike fixes lots of small engines like that. Time to replace when you spend more time fixing than tilling. Our big tiller went through the fire and he scrapped the old motor and replaced it with a 5 hp (at least I think it was 5 hp) motor that was on sale at Harbor Freight. Works like a dog now!

That is a good lookin tiller. Looks like it is about time to paint some flames on the back of that bad boy.

Ariens tillers and Craftsman tiller and Husqvarna tillers are made by the same manufacturer with small differences. I found that out when I was looking for parts for my tiller. I'm in the process of sharping the tines on the tiller now. the tines are blunt as it was new. my next door neighbor loaned me her small tiller and the tines on it were blunt also and it didn't work very well, so I sharpened the tines on it and that made it work the soil and cut thou the weeds better.
