Did you see Roky in his bow? Super cute with a nice shot of my underwear drawers in the back ground. Classy, yes? ;D Well at least you weren't in the background modelling them while the pic was being taken Okay, so inquiring minds would like to know a) if you bought this one?? b) if not, did you get my email about the other one in Tyler, TX??

I got it, Blue, thanks, it seems like a nice place. We'll make an offer this week on the Roxton place. I think we're going to offer on the whole thing at the original price he had listed (78,500 for 38.5 acres) and attach the original MLS print out and see what happens. If he says no, we'll walk away and keep on looking. I can just see us buying the 16 acres and then someone buys the other part and makes it into a pay to play 4 wheeling oasis that's packed to the gills every weekend. That would be rather nightmarish.

I am so flip flopping on this. I haven't made an offer. The original goal was to pay cash so I'd own outright. That's not an option here. It's still on the market. I'm still looking. I wish I had a crystal ball so I'd know what was going to happen w/ the economy. BLECH.

It really is a scarey time right now. I don't blame you for not wanting to go into debt, even if it is something you want badly. Too bad the property wasn't on the market a couple of years ago. Maybe it would have been easier to sell your house then. Would it be possible to rent out your house and live in the country? I think a lot of people are going to be in very bad situations in the next couple of years. A recession should be a good time to buy up land, but the way the banks loaned money, even foreclosed properties are priced for far more than they are 'worth'.
