Hello,
I am pleased to join you here.. I discovered this forum thanks to kokopelli (France).
I speak French, English and Spanish (in my new country).
I wish to grow everything for myself, including grains and nuts.
I also think about getting wood and useful plants that are not only for eating.
I have settled in a new place, new climate, new weather, new everything and knew nothing!
Caracteristics:
Weather: I am off frost, 500m high, with a gentle oceanic weather, but also some days of sudden heat, with water in winter, and no rain in summer. Plants are growing, but insects and fungus are very happy here too...
The earth is easy, with no clay, but the land is not easy, because it is steep. I thank the people who made the walls in the 1940's! I have about 5 gardens no more than 4-6 m wide, and absolutely no way to reach them by car. The largest is 40m long.
I also have trees, including 1 apple tree, so I thought it was Eden.... I already planted 2 more! I can also eat oranges, avocados, figs, papaya and goyavas. And almonds and cactus....
My dream and my hobby every morning is to cultivate this, to better it to become more productive, with more diversity. It has been off pesticides already for a very long time.
Myself:
I am in my 40's and my second hobby is meditating to increase the heart energy and increase my autonomy for generating happiness. Less dependency in all fields, for more real sharings.
I also wish to communicate better with plants, also using my mental part, so that I can give love the adequate way according to what each plant likes...
I am also fond of alternative energies (I have sun and wind here...), and of alternative medicines, especially with hands. I am not a veggy though I need less and less animal products thanks to sprouted grains. So I will certainly get some hens there...
Expectations:
This year, I have planted many thiings, and I will observe... I will need help to try and select the adequate species and varieties. I'm fond of seeds saving, so I will want to produce mine, and keep the varieties correctly.
